Mets schedule: Four key series to watch

The Mets’ schedule became complete Thursday, when MLB announced the starting times for games this season. Here are a few highlights of that schedule:

April 1 at Washington (7:09 p.m.): Opening Day will become Opening Night for the Mets, with the game at Nationals Park slated for broadcast by ESPN.

May 17-19 at Atlanta: The Braves have won three straight NL East titles, but the Mets might be the team most capable of dethroning them. This will be the first series of the season between the rivals.

Aug. 13-15 vs. Dodgers: Maybe Trevor Bauer will get to pitch for the Dodgers during this visit to Citi Field. If nothing else, the defending World Series champions will be in town.

Sept. 10-12 vs. Yankees: The second leg of the Subway Series will include a Saturday night game at Citi Field on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
