Kevin Durant’s return to the Nets’ lineup lasted one game.
Durant, who scored 20 points in Saturday’s win at Golden State after missing three games due to the NBA’s health and safety COVID-19 protocols, will not play at least the next two nights in Sacramento and Phoenix due to a mild strain of his left hamstring, the team announced Sunday.
The 32-year-old Durant is averaging a team-best 29.0 points per game over 19 appearances this season after missing all of last season after rupturing his Achilles in the 2019 NBA Finals with the Warriors.
Saturday’s game was Durant’s first in the Bay Area since the injury and his first there since leaving the Warriors to sign a free-agent deal with Brooklyn later that summer.
