Newly single Alex Rodriguez was all over the party scene this weekend in the Hamptons. But while ex-financée Jennifer Lopez has already moved on, A-Rod seems to have little interest in finding a new squeeze.
The former Yankee was spotted at nightlife mogul Richie Akiva’s bash on Saturday at Unifund founder David Rosenberg’s mansion in Bridgehampton.
“Alex was having fun; he was just chilling,” says the spy. “He was in good spirits. I didn’t see him talking to any women.”
Page Six previously reported that on Sunday A-Rod attended a party at Fanatics mogul Michael Rubin’s $50 million Bridgehampton estate. Sources told us that while Rodriguez was surrounded by a “bevy of beauties,” the former slugger seemed more interested in hanging out with Jay-Z.
Meanwhile, we hear Akiva’s annual event was nearly a disaster because the party tent went up too late and a torrential downpour left the area awash in mud. But, we hear, quick-thinking organizers laid down wood planks and covered them with black sheets to create a floor over the dirt.
During the party, rapper A$AP Ferg took the stage in front of A-list guests like Nicky Hilton, Equinox CEO Harvey Spevak, basketball player Mohamed Bamba, hospitality vet Noah Tepperberg, Miami bigwig Wayne Boich and billionaire Barry Sternlicht.
Another source tells us Rodriguez, 45, was having a good enough time to head over to the after-party at Akiva’s Bridgehampton home along with guests like model Winnie Harlow, James Harden, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, and Lil Uzi Vert.
“I don’t think A-Rod stayed very long,” says a spy. “He was cool. He was keeping to himself. He would say hi to some girls and say hi to some people, but he was mostly playing it cool.”
